Quested Dragon / Giant items.

A while back, with the introduction of faction upgrading dragon / giant loots, there was talk of making sunbane, ytraz, and rod of living fire all faction bound also.

I've been working on my rod of living fire, and am holding all the components, however i'm iffy about turning them in if these faction bound changes are going to go into effect anytime in the near future.

I see no reason why they are necessary, as they seem to be a slap in the face for the longer quests, but would like a confirmation whether or not this is in fact the plan for the near future.
 
So you want to get ally for the rod then lose ally to gain ally with the other side for another item? You know how much farming that is?

ytraz was not going to be made bound iirc b/c it is forged by the player. I believe it was stated back in that thread
 
No one answered my question.

I didn't want a breakdown of the reasons why faction binding them was considered, i wanted an official word to see if that is still the plan.

PS: And ryu, no, my guild just kills giants and dragons at the moment, and i don't want to lose my rod of living fire on a SE raid one day.
