It's very important that you use the Shards of Dalaya patcher to experience some of the quest changes and additions in this update. The Shards of Dalaya patcher can be found here. Take a look at the Starting Guide if you need help setting the patcher up - everything is explained there.
As the giant king glances through the notes of recent sieges on scale-held territories, a sentry walks through the door and bows before speaking, 'My lord, they have struck a blow.' The king nods and replies, 'Yes, Drellig - I know what the scale have done. They are not alone any longer, outsiders are now acting on their behalf - infiltrating Stormkeep and carrying out actions against us. We cannot allow this, Drellig. It is not for the good of our kingdom to lay dormant while the scale makes such advances on our territory.' Now pacing back and forth, the sentry looks nervously at his king and speaks, 'Then what shall we do? Shall I send word to the dwarves to increase the rate of supply production?' Rymaz shakes his head and points to the door, 'No... you will be my personal envoy. You will journey to the wastes and see to it that likeminded adventurers are recruited into our army. Offer them treasures of which they have never embraced as rewards for carrying out your tasks. I want the scale to suffer for their treachery. Do this Drellig - leave at once.' The sentry nods and leaves without word as his king turns away and begins reading over the notes on his table.

A massive white-scaled dragon storms through the corridor leading to the sanctuary of the scale, 'Versikol - where are you? We must speak, quickly!' A moment passes and a red dragon approaches from the south, 'What is it, Telvosh? Is it of importance? I have left my post, so I pray that it is...' Telvosh motions toward the night sky, explosions lighting it up as if it were day, 'The giants, they have passed through the Grotto and are making their way into the wastes. It seems they have formed an attack party and seek to lay waste to our kin who patrol these lands once and for all. There have already been preliminary attacks on drakes and wyverns - their hides removed from their bodies as trophies of the giants' triumphs.' Versikol shakes his head, disgusted at what he is told, 'It appears my time here is at an end, my friend. While our allies have done their duties in diligence, it is not enough to keep back the giants alone. I must travel elsewhere and seek out those willing to assist us, rather than brooding in this chasm awaiting our destruction.' Telvosh bends his scaly neck back, looking over the snowy chasm which serves as an entryway to Dragonhorn Keep, 'Very well old friend, do what you must. I will take your place outside of the keep, to ensure that Dragonhorn is kept safe from wrong-doing.'
