Quest text thingy.

Where to start, where to start.

I really really mislike the new quest text thing (yellow feedback telling you what to say). I feel like I am playing diablo (not neccesarily bad, but...) just that I have to type it painstakingly correct. I am here to plea, get down on all fours and prostrate myself, or whatever it takes...

Is this final? Can I bribe someone with milk and cookies?

If the engine had allowed for some sort of clicking on the text, I'd not hate it as much, but as it is now its the worst thing of two worlds. I have to both type my answer AND I have no choice in what to say.

I haven't played in a while due to some reports and stuff, so if I missed some discuss-this-thread, i am sorry.

/sigh allright.

What was the motivation for the change, though? I find it so newbificationing. Oh well, no point in crying about it. It is christmas holidays, nothing short of family tragedy is going to wreck my mood. Knock on wood.

So you would like it like [this]?

Instead of you saying "I would like it like this" like it is now, before you would have said "this." That doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Also, this way lets you see full options without spamming everyone else. Hail a citizen, you get options of what to ask them, rather than them telling you what you can ask them. I'd rather you learn how to type than have it go back to the way before.

Dialogue choices that make sense for the new good/evil system, the fact that an NPC isn't spilling his life's story to someone that said "dagger"

Well, since we are beating a dead horse =)

I am one of those that like it when roleplaying is encouraged, but not enforced. Allright, so sometimes [quest text 01]-dialogues gets a bit choppy, as you seem to be implying, but having an answer premade for you is just the same. It doesn't allow for enriching the dialogue with your character role at all. At least before you could create your own sentences with the bracketed words. So don't give me that mr sp4mm. =)

I'd like to end this discussion here =P I have presented my views and gotten my answers... Thanks for the quick reply Wiz.
