Back in the day getting ancients was less of a pain in the ass than it is now because people had to actually form groups to farm them. Now a days people can kill those easy white con models as a duo or in some instances solo.Trying to gear an entire guild with ancients is looking to be a complete pain in the ass. The drop rate should be looked into only because the mobs are instantly gimped for cash drops.

Our guild <Goon Squid> which is trying to do ringer-less content has done over 10 D maps and not a single ancient has dropped... (as a guild. members have done them by themselves and the same outcome)
 
Yeah, your gonna want to look into VD maps if you can. Back a year or two ago I remember that cmal was a good place to get ancients. You will really feel it as soon as you guys start to push into relics. We may have been unlucky, but those were far more a pain to get than ancients.

Really? Is it just because of the amount of relics needed? I only ask because there are a ton of zones that drop relics and the mobs are always up. Places like Water drop them quite often in my experience.
 
If the guild isn't acquiring relics outside of official raids via pugs or using ringers to snipe things, it'll probably take like two or three months to get everyone their relics I'd guess.

that is what is going to happen.. again this isnt a guild to rush to t13. this should be an alt you want to play just to play and not an alt you want to max instantly
 
Are you not a fan of dropping your entire guild into the hole and squatting those elemental princes for hours? Also don't cmal 3 mobs drop ancients now or am i Imagining shit.

cant drop down anymore. slaariel aka the only true female dev killed that shit

not only that yo ucant even take a level 1 to loot that shit anymore. fucking nerfs!

Its a combination of the amount and they were kind of rare for us. We killed PoW, ToA, PoE, and HoM a lot, (and some air) and id say we got less than 1 relic a week. This mighta been just bad luck, but if you really are using chars that dont go on T8ish pugs to scoop loot, the zone clears take a long time, and it would take us a night to clear one zone (if that)
 
The harder cmal 3 named mobs drop ancients. I don't think the BP droppers do, but Funeral Master and Guardian and everything harder than that drops ancients. 3.1 and 3.2 are pretty common.

As for Relics, we got the majority of ours when we raided in PoWater, I remember that place was like Relic Christmas every week.
