i have a feeling this MIGHT get trashed and/or be in the wrong forum section...


but WHAT IF: someone designed (a) new class(es), skills, functions, abilities, gear, AA, quest specifics & etc... etc...
from head to toe...
to be possibly implemented or at-least tested out...



i have some character ideas i pulled out of a locker of roleplay ideas i had from ages ago (literally dust on them)
... i think they are viable. (of course they are my own damn creation)
interesting if nothing else.
Would it be ever EVER possible that something like this would happen ... or is it true fantasy & something to be put back into the locker (of doom).

its far out there, yes,
vague, yes.

i am asking, if it would be of value to continue working on them for a community that could possibly use/appreciate them...
 
not sure of what "inb4" fully means or what your in reference to.
i am guessing you mean "its been tried before" or its absurd.
 
It's impossible to add new races/classes/skills/AAs to the client, the only way such could happen is by changing existing things.
So in theory, this might happen ONCE, with the currently unused berserker class and its class specific AAs, but it would most likely be a balancing nightmare.
 
Should at least hear his ideas, even if adding a new class is out of the question. It could turn out to be useful in the future, maybe even for an ikisith tome.
 
I suppose something akin to prestige classes would be possible with tomes (based on suggestions I've seen in ikitome threads where a particular tome excluded you from being able to use another). Enough of those could cause a given class's abilities to be wildly divergent from someone else in the same class. Such a thing would be interesting, but possibly incredibly difficult to balance.
