1. How are the Planes of Power stones for teleporting all over the place; still active?
2. How are the deities playing a more active role in the player's character?
3. How is the final epic quest for each class; still obsolete?
4. Does the end game still consist of hours of raiding the planes for leet gear?
5. I assume there is no way to transfer characters from my current server, correct?
6. How is the faction system playing a more vital role in the interaction between the player and NPCs?
7. How is soloing encouraged?
8. How is grouping encouraged?
9. How is raid groups encouraged?
10. How is the overall complexity of the gameplay compare to EQLive after the Kunark release?
 
1. No
2. You choose to swear to a deity at a later point. It's still not entirely working, but when it is, you can quest in your God's plane, but if you ever lose your faction with your God, you become a pariah and lose all religious affiliation.
3. There is only one active epic right now. More are in the works.
4. The end game consists of what you want it to -- many end up raiding, but some end up doing some of the 6 person limited dungeons. You can also quest for some very nice high end gear, but it requires a raid to finish :)
5. No way to transfer, no. This is not EQ. It's Winter's Roar.
6. Being ally with your city lets you get a necklace that will let you teleport there. Also, should you choose to, you can ally with either the Dragons or the Giants. They have interesting quests that you might want to check out (given proper levels).
7. I'm not exactly sure if soloing is "encouraged" per se, but you can buy medkits which let you have 400 bandages (20 charges of summon bandages) and allow melees to solo without a healer. But ...
8. Grouping is definitely encouraged. There is a group bonus to exp that means each additional person after the 2nd does not take away exp. So you have no reason to not add more people.
9. Raids are raids. You can link up the groups, and buffs travel over the links without the AA mass group buff.
10. Winter's Roar is probably near the velious level of difficulty (I may be wrong) with complexity reaching as far as it needs to. Someone else could expand on this more though. :(

Thank for the helpful information. Im very happy to hear that the teleport stones are gone! Those stones ruined my wizard and the ability to taxi for money on top of the enchanters crack dealings.

I had a similiar idea for the gods roles in the player's character. i will post it in the suggestion forum.

Answers:
1. No.
2. Religion is still upcoming. You can pledge to a God, but it won't do anything major yet.
3. There is only one epic implemented at the moment, and it isn't finished to my knowledge.
4. Yes. But it is elite gear in the WR context.
5. You will have to start from scratch. But that's good, because WR is awesome.
6. The faction system is a means to receive quests and get safe passage through certain zones.
7. It is possible and viable to solo, depending on class, but WR is more group centered.
8. The exp bonus given to extra group members encourages grouping. There is a 50% exp bonus for every other person in your group, beyond the first. So there is no reason not to fill up your group.
9. There is alot of raid content on WR, and it is still growing. Raiding is made easier through the '/cmd group link' command. Which allows multiple groups to share /gsay and buffs and exp.
10. I can't say, I never played much past Kunark, and I certainly didn't get into any complex gameplay when I did.

Its not much more complex than velious. There aren't any massive keying/flagging quests or anything of the sort. Its quite nice, actually.
 
Alright, my mind is made up on whether or not to give an altered version of Everquest a try. No harm done if its free. Its going to take all night to get the game loaded...ugh. See ya in game whenever its done with updates.

I already know I will be a wizard if not a warrior.
