Just wanted to give props to the GM staff here. You'll have to forgive, I'm horrid with names, but I believe it was Zoei I dealt with. Anyhow, a few days ago. I'm running through BB with an alt. I see High warden up, decide my alt could use his bag. So I kill him. (about the 30th time I've killed him). "Holy Crap," I declare. He has a rare drop. Warden bow. Sweet. I go to loot. Corpse out of range. I bitch in ooc, "What the hell?!?" etc. Someone tells me to try refresh, but corpse poofs right after I get that message. Oh well I figure. I want a ranger, but I've not got one underway yet, so no great loss. Still really irritating losing something that actually dropped for me. If I'd bought it and it poofed, would have been a lot less rattling (just the way my priorities are). Fast forward to yesterday. I'm running to the ice giants in frost. See a named up, kill him. Notice his loot is a necklace with 5ac and 25hp... if that's pristine it'll be an upgrade to my monk says I. Try to loot it. Corpse out of range again. /cm refresh. Game locks up. Restart game. Try to loot it again. Out of range. Refresh again. Out of range. Again /o "Wtf... twice in a few days. This is BS." etc.
Couple minutes later, I'm killing Ice giants, and I get a message, ~"Be sure to screenshot it if you get that bug again, and send a petition." I look in my inventory and see the neck. "Wahooo" says I. I chat a bit with the Gm while killing giants. Then I notice that it's 5ac 25hp vs 6ac on my old neck (silk spun collar)... probably an upgrade, but if it were pristine, it'd be no question an upgrade. Mention this to the GM. "I'll put it in the loot of your next kill," says he. I tag a deep green spider and a few seconds later, I've got my necklace.
Really impressed with the staff here. I was on live for a long time and I'll tell you exactly how this would go down there...
Me (petition): My loot poofed, wtf?
Guide response (several hours later): I can't help you because my horoscope today says that it's a dangerous time for me to try to be helpful. Also, I just signed up for this to get free eq, and really all I'm allowed to do is change names that include "fokker" in them.
Me: I am very angry, but I am not losing my temper and calling you a waste of flesh. Nope, not at all.
Guide: You are being warned for abuse.
Me: Your mother gave me that warning last night.
Guide: Ooops, you got slayed, I must have pushed the wrong button.
