i've got a really hard problem
When i launch the game it works
When i connect to everquest it works & show me the servers page
But when i select a server, it accept and then crash
It should normally show me the caractere creation page , isn't it ??

I am no expert.. but i had this issue with my other comptuer tryin to setup.

Look in your eqclient.ini and make sure the bit depth matches your desktop.. example if your running at a 32bit desktop and your client is only at 16bit.. it will crash.

I changed mine to match my desktop and it works.

i've tryed all the possibilities
it's because i've a 2Mb video card, i think.........
if someone can say what's the minimal video memory ?
I can install a Voodoo2 12Mb, if i've luck!!!!!!
other ideas ??
 
Occansionally had that problem myself

I'd say try repatching full to the live severs, then running the hotfix again, and try from there. Otherwise, upgrade the video card as much as possible. Maybe throw out the 386 your running, and get a pentium. I hear they're really fast, just be sure to keep it cool. ;)
 
2 MB cant handle the game, sorry, 12 MB won't do either prolly, i would say 32 mb Geforce 2MX or similar ranged
ATI is the minimum to run EQ.

How the hell did you sneak a 2mb video card through the install?

i'm seriously impressed someone in this world still has a 2mb video card... unless it's onboard using shared RAM. in that case, dang, head to tigerdirect.com and pick yourself up a cheap NVIDIA. just bought my sister a GeForce FX 5200 128MB for $20 after rebate. That's plenty to play. I'm running it with an old GeForce 2 MX 64MB card (old models), and i don't suffer fps lag.
