Problem with Grobb newb shaman armor quest

I wanted to report a possible problem with the Grobb newb shaman armor quest. I finally completed the first armor quest (nice shield :D ) from Spirit Talker Grekal last night and began the second - I apologize for not having the text of the quest but I forgot to turn the log on :roll:

Well, on to the meat of the problem. The quest text asks you to collect a froglok skull (I got a skull from one of the tads hopping around), some Mossy Tree Bark (ground spawn next to tree with the building in it), and two leech hides. At first I figured that the leech hides dropped by the swamp leeches would be the correct item and set about collecting two of them. After I got one to drop I tried to put it into the medicine bag (Grekal gives this to do the combine in) but the leech hide is size = medium and the medicine only holds small or tiny items. Ok, leech hides may not be the right item - off to the giant leeches since they drop hides also and their hides are tiny in size. Get two drops and put them in the bag, try to combine...items not combineable message.

Is there a different item that needs to go there in place of the leech hides? Don't need to know what it is, just if there is one and I will work on finding it.

i'm pretty positive there are only the small and giant sized leeches.. so this is probably an issue with someone overlooking the size of items vs size of bag given
 
Bumping this similar problem

I've completed the first part of the quest that "Spirit Talker Grekal" in Grobb gives a shield as a reward.


He then told me to collect some leech hides, froglok skull, and the tree bark.


Now Ive seen this post and I have the same items the original poster does except for giant leech hides....I have the newbie level leech hides. I looked around awhile for giant leeches, never found any in the bog and not strong enough to go much into Wiethel (sp?).

Anyway, I try turning in 2x leech hides, 1 tadpole skull, and the mossy bark...stacked, unstacked. They just keep getting handed back.

I was also unable to get the quest giver to speak of the second quest again, he just kept referring to the first quest. So I tried to complete that again so I knew the triggers for the second part and had no luck there either.


And since this sounds to me like the original poster said, and the content designer said just hand in......Im hoping this is the right "next step" cuz I was at this quest for a long time trying to get skulls off regular frogloks and find different kinds of leeches....and get the quest text again so I could read closer and see what I might be missing.


Getting a bit frustrated with it now since everyone I group with is past their second steps and wanting to go to other zones to collect those items.

So tips/hints, letting me redo it all over again...whatever if it helps get that second step done and moving on to the next.
 
You take the handin to the blackscale quartermaster. The text may be a bit confusing right now, I'll see about modifying it some when I get a chance.
