problem with ancient behemoth

i did the 4th part of the main quest in heartland plateau. i deconstructed the behemoth and i got a message saying that i received an item (forgot the exact name, rusty whatever). my inventory was not full and for some weird reason i did not receive the item. i re-logged and the item was still not there. it's not at the bank either.
 
the EXACT same problem here, was told that i got "Field generation Device FF-IV" and got nothing. I figured it must just be a flag, but seeker gavin doesnt respond to me. Searched everywhere for it and its no where to be found
 
You get an item called "Rusty Clockwork Device". Are you SURE you didn't get it? Did any of you have logging on?
 
I logged on before work to recheck my inventory with a fine tooth comb, and i still do not see it. For some reason it seems that my logs decided to turn off earlier in the day, but I do have multiple screenshots of the quest text the big guy ggave me. Not sure if those will serve near the same purpose.

Alright, petition ingame and tell any GM that answers that I told you you should get a rusty clockwork device summoned into your inventory.
 
5:1 you got the item. For me, it showed up with no graphic, and I believe I've heard others mention this too.
The only way to find it was to hold down alt with bags open and look for the blue name.

Ah, yes, this is indeed the problem.
 
AHA! I held down alt through ALL my bags to see if this was the case, but of course with my luck it was in my open general inventory slot.

oooh, just discovered that the item is there. it has no graphic and so i did not see it, lol. my bad.
