problem with advanced->repatch all

I get stuck on different things when patching, usually newspells. When I try to run Repatch All i get a message that looks like this:

An unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Coninue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will be shut down immediated.

The process cannot access the "files.txt" because it is being used by another process.

When I click Details, I get this text:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.

I'm stumped.

i am getting the exact same error and deleting files.txt does not do anything... it just keeps trying to patch eqhost.txt with no success

I still havent gotten mine to work. Lemme know how you did it if you get it working.

I got working now!! :D :D Anyway, what i did was deleted patchset.txt and files.txt from the WRPatcher folder. I then was looking through My Computer and found that all of the newly patched files and folders where placed into my Local Disk C: folder... so i deleted them from there and attempted to repatch, making sure my directory was set properly this time (advanced->Browse for EQ). This time, it patched successfully, but when EQW opened, i located what i thought was the correct eqgame.exe file in my WRPatcher folder and hit start EQ, but it gave me an error saying it could not locate mss32.dll.... i closed it and repatched, getting as far as EQW where i decided to see if i could find another eqgame.exe. I went to my secondary drive where i had saved all of the EQ files (i have WRPatcher folder on my primary drive). I found another eqgame.exe and selected it for EQW and this time it worked !! :D

fwew, hope that makes sense! and good luck phood

I have the same thing worng althoe I cant even open this http://wintersroar.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=27040#27040

link from WR fourms telling me i have a reply to a post nor can I get on any websites

Those of you having this problem, try the following:

1. Reboot your PC, you might have an instance running in current memory that is attempting to access this file, something like CIDAEMON which is part of Microsoft's Indexing Service.

2. After reboot, try your patcher, if you still get the same error, deleting everying in your WR patcher folder than wrpatcher.exe and patchme.exe then reboot and try again.

If that doesn't work, verify your .NET 1.1 Framework install.

That's about all I can think of.

OKA! trying all that ATM. but i do that the .net framework downloaded and installed will post after I try to delete the WR patch files
