Problem Installing SoD

Well, I have all the the Game trilogy, pop, ldon, etc. and beyond expansions that are needed for SoD already installed onto my computer. So, now all I figured I had to do was DL the patcher. SO, I came here and followed instructions 1-7 on your installation process, but I could not install the .Net framework since the link you have there is not working. Upon clicking on my "sodpatcher.exe" that i copied to the trilogy folder, i get the error "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application."

What does this mean, and how do I fix it?

I am running windows XP
I am using McAfee firewall.

Alright, I downloaded the .Net file...

I now was able to open the sodpatcher.exe, but I had to select the folder it was coming from. I selected the trilogy folder, and it has been patching. It now seems, though, that it is completely stuck on "Patching: EQUI_TaskTemplateSelectWnd.xml" and has been doing so for a good amount of time. Is this just my anxiuos impatience or is it really supposed to take that long to patch a selector window?

i honestly have no idea... what you could do is download that file directly and then try the patcher again after deleting files.txt

direct download for that file would be:
http://www.shardsofdalaya.com/patcher/Game/EQUI_TaskTemplateSelectWnd.xml

you want to download it into [Path to the Game]\uifiles\default\EQUI_TaskTemplateSelectWnd.xml

... well... i just tried this and the file appearantly doesn't exist... staff input required.

Ya, it definitely stopped loading everything from that point... I exited out and tried to re-patch, but doing that it just stuck and populating hashtable and nothing happened from there.
