Problem getting to EQ patcher

I get this message whenever I try to download the EQ patcher. I downloaded the EQtrillogy free trial and got this message. Then I uninstalled it and downloaded .Net Framework and redownloaded EQ again. That did not help anything, I am still getting the same message. This happens every time I try to patch.
I am running Windows Vista.
I tried turning off my firewall and that did not seem to help the problem at all.
If anyone could help with this problem I would be very appreciative!

im getting the SAME exact thing on my laptop...which is ran on vista. i would also like to know if there is anyway to go around fixing this.

Doesn't vista have a XP compatibility mode? Try right clicking the icon and see if there's a way.

Here's a hint for ya Elulu, don't run EQplaynice (I'm not sure if you even use it now, but meh) while on your laptop. Mobile processors function differently than desktops, running EQPN while on a laptop will rape the FPS.

Sorry for the lack of detail, I knew it'd come back to haunt me. =P

i dont use EQPL anyways. it dosnt want to work for me...but i dont care to be honest haha

i can box fine w/o it
