Previously used named now rejected?

I was trying to reroll a character, name of Kazzok, and found that the name is now rejected even though I deleted the old character. I confirmed that it doesn't show up in fomelo.

Any ideas?

What was the new name you gave it instead?

We haven't figured out yet why this happens. Post the name of the new character here and I can rename it for you, or petition in game.

Note: this is *not* an announcement for everyone to request name changes here. This is only a one time thing as I'm not going to be reading this thread regularly.
 
I've found this happens *IF* you remake the character on a different account.

Account A: Create character named Toon1
Delete Toon1

Account B: Create character named Toon1
Denied

Account A: Remake Toon1
Accepted

I've done it several times. I think there's some sort of guard in place (intentional or not) that allows someone to remake their character on the same account without the risk of someone else taking their name.

However, if Kazzok was flagged previously for being inappropriate, then it wouldn't be able to be recreated.
 
I'm not sure if that's it lucifer, since he was previously on another account and I was actually able to recreate on this one before.

I really appreciate the help in this thread. You've made a new donator out of me :)
