Pounder VIII and Pounder IX Loot

I found an old post about this from April but I thought I would ask again. Is it possible to raise the amount of loot drops on the Pounders from 2 drops to 3 to match what Traekoth drops? I did notice that the Pounders have a smaller loot table then Traekoth but it takes the same amount of people to kill these mobs and I believe most other Adept mobs also drop 3 loots.

Its not about the number of loots, its about the quality :) pounder loots are more all/all :) some very good stuff from them guys. Dont get me wrong, id love to see (well would have loved to see) 4 pairs of shim gloves drop at a crack, but i was lucky to see 4 pairs drop over the times of me killing them (lost them all once by only 4 out of 1000.... silly gnome dress wearing paladin beat my monk for them) anyways...

Here is a thought (not to ninja this thread) but...

How about the donators that "loot" get an extra loot for the raid/group per level of donator status, meaning (if you are platium donor you get loot +3), gold donor +2 silver +1? Kinda would rock for loots and possibly help the server funds.

I've seen this concept work well in another games.

Also it has always been said donating would never increase your game experience more then it already does. (as now it mainly is toys and not real getting better stuff)
 
Unless things change drastically, you will never see that in this game. Plenty of us on the dev team would quit contributing at all if that occured.

I would quit if something like this was implemented.

It would never and has never "worked well." Developers exploit this technique by marketing their product as "free to play" while offering a substantially better experience to those who do donate or pay in some form. It can't even be construed as sneaky since it's so blatantly deceitful. It's mild form of extortion that succeeds in swindling dumbfuck people into paying for a "free" game.

Edit: Also, there are some perks offered to donators already.

Back on topic, I'm not sure why the pounders only drop 2 loots, and will investigate further unless an admin pops in and says why themselves.
 
Hi, Sorry for bumping my old thread. It's been a month and I was just curious if this has been looked into. Pounders are still only dropping 2 loots.

They were probably overlooked with adept loot changes since the loot doesn't actually drop from one of the pounders.
 
Yeah, in some ways, they are harder than Traek. I think they should have their loot raised to 3 drops as well. It can sometimes be difficult to gather a full raid for them, and I think the increase would help get people to come fill the spots.
 
The Pounders are arguably more challenging than Traek because of the need for two decent tanks. The extra loot would bring the loot total to three, matching that of Traek. I would be happy to see that happen. :)

Actually it'll FINALLY be done next patch, which may be as early as tonight.
 
on the topic of pounders there was one thing that also bothered me, and that was the Pounders Pincer that seems to be a weapon that is really weak for the classes that can use. I'm comparing this to other weapons Adepts of lower lvl drop which are better including regular named mobs of lower level. All his other loot seemed pretty good.

Agree... Pounders Pincer is not as good as the Dragon Coiled Sinew from Traek or the Lupine Fanged Rondel from Snowskin (Snowskin loots may be overpowered for the level anyway, especially the clicky)
