post 60 skill caps?

I have a question concerning skill caps at level 65. I have 3 items that have an archery modifier on them but they don’t seem to raise my skill past 250 when checking with #showskills. I now have a ring with a +5% to offense and that too doesn’t seem to raise the skill the appropriate amount. I talked to a rogue with a backstab charm and paladin with dodge charm and both had the same results.

I heard somewhere that there was a skill cap when the levels stopped at 60 but it was supposed to be removed when 61-65 was added. Is this something that was overlooked or is being worked on? Was the information I was given incorrect? I guess I just have a hard time believing it was intentional considering the cost of some of the charms that have skill modifiers on them.

I have a feeling that skill modifiers are broken, or atleast certain skill modifiers...

I don't know what rogue you talked to, but I too forked out almost 7000plat for that +15% backstab charm and I can't really say I ever noticed a difference, atleast not in max BS dmg. Averages and Hit-% are somewhat harder to monitor unless you actively parse on the same type of mob.

I bought the assassin charm.. Plus I had tnirk's amulet.. Plus Skulker's Sleeves. For a combined total near 20% (can't remember exactly). Through #showskills, my backstab went up around 8 Points (i think, was a while back). Regardless, with 20% modifiers it should go up more than 50. As a result, I ended up selling my charm back to the vendor.

Recently I got the same ring Ravina has, the Band of Martial Discipline, with a 5% offense modifer. It raises my offense from 250 to 255. Pretty weak.

Might have been an idea to buglist it. You would have saved yourself some money when it was fixed.
