Possible to make mod rods into non-weapons?

Just as title says. It can get annoying sometimes when a mage (sometimes me ) casts AoE mod rods and the pets get stuck with a mod rod as a weapon before you can equip your pet with another one (Sword of Runes or Power for example).

Unless theres some seekrit way of using mod rods as weapons that I dont know about? :brow:

Sometimes they proc modulation! (just kidding, I think this is a decent suggestion).

Proccing mod would be pretty funny if they procced it on melee mobs
