Hello Everyone.

As you may or may not know I am new the server. And, yes, I am a Mac User. I did use PC but now for work I have gone to the dark side. I wanted to know if anyone could help me with my little problem. (And no its not using a Mac) I have loaded Everquest, everything works fine execpt the game is EXTREMELY choppy. Legs going everywhere, my moving is impossible to judge, and well it's chaos. Using Windows XP off MAC OS X, I don't now if I can use the video gaming card to is fullist potential and I feel this might be the case. However, running Lineage 2 and Counter-Strike doesn't create problems. I attempted to download new drivers for my ATI Mobility Radeon 1600 (the card everquest says I have) but then after downloading those drivers it seems I don't have the card. Any ideas? Suggestions?

Also, the game is playing in window mode. Going to options I tried to convert the game to Full Screen but nothing happen. How can I fix this?

Many Thanks,

Aarhus

If anything need to be cleared up I will do my best.

I'm not sure about the choppy playing, but to answer you question about full screen/window mode: when you start the patcher go to advanced and deselect use EQW. Or, when in game do alt-enter to maximize your window. This may require you to go to your in game options (alt-o), and adjust the resolution (display > video modes).

If you're emulating windows on top of OSX to run EQW you might be having issue with system resources, since that sounds fairly intensive. I don't have any real experience with macs though.

I also have a mac running bootcamp. The legs all over the place are caused by the duel processor in your mac. I have tried a few utilities to keep the clocks in sync without luck. The problem as I understand it is the 2 processors clocks alternately send data to the client, thus causing the graphics to distort. On my AMD systems I use my AMD's CPU patch and it works fine, without the patch, it looks identical to my mac. I haven't had the time to find a decent patch for this issue with the Intel chips, but there has to be other duel core users out there with similar problems and hopefully solutions to this. I'm not sure if I helped but I hope it sends you looking in the right direction! Shoot me a email if you get it working and good luck!
