Played live for years, new here!

Hi all. I played EQ Live for years (maybe 7 ish?) and loved it in the beginning, but became put out with the gear disparity between hardcore raiders and casuals (causing casuals to be declined for groups almost 100% of the time) and the community eventually degraded to the point that it was hardly worth trying to make friends or group.

I see something here that makes me think it might be possible to enjoy some of those glory day, nostalgic moments again with a familiar yet new approach.

I was a hardcore gone casual in Live and I'm interested in meeting some new people and testing the waters.

Welcome and hope you have a great time! This server is still EQ after a fashion so there is certainly plenty of content for hardcore players. However, raid size is only 18 and there is nearly a complete upgrade path that's all 6-man stuff so in that regard it is a lot more forgiving than live EQ. The population is still pretty top-heavy though as should be expected from a game that has been running about 10 years.
