I've heard that this zone isn't implemented in the game (wish it was!) but at the same time I've seen Zone Connects for PoF in the past. Has it ever been activated before? I wonder if it ever will be.

That was such a fun zone when I was 50.
 
Would be cool if they implemented it, but you are usually seeing "joke" zone connects when you see this. My favorite experience in Fear was with my Iksar shaman (who worshipped Cazic Thule). I was amiable to CT and walked up to him and gave him several items of foraged food. When he dropped the food on his loot table, my guild started freaking out. Then they told me not to do that because it could potentially screw up the loot tables. Never found out if that were true or not.

Exactly! And no CR's in this game make it that much better. That would be such a fun zone again.

I got all nostalgic when I was doing Cazic-Thule and saw the Amy Knights in the basement. Of course now it's Lost Temple of some such, and they're called forgotten spawns, but still! It was cool.

On the server I use to play on Veeshan fires of heaven handed Cazic Thule a mithril two hander (haste sword) one time when another guild was trying to kill him believe the other guild at the time was celestial tomb needless to say the guild trying CT got owned.
 
my favorite memory of fear was the entire server having to band together to rescue a guilds corpses from rotting because of a bad wipe. really built up a sense of community when we worked together like that.
