I have seen several threads, all with varying degrees of suggestions on what to do about the lack of ability to bolster pet resists. Some sound good, some not so good, but all/any of them are better then what we (pet classes) have now. Being a beastlord, a large part of my DPS is dependent on my pet surviving the fight and smacking the mob around. In the tier 8-9 raid game, there are many encounters where the boss does a nasty AoE throughout the fight, but a large amount of this damage can be tolerated by buffing up one's resists. However, with no current adequate way to buff my pet, he either dies before the mob reaches 80% health, or I spend the entire fight just healing him and trying to keep him alive, preventing me from doing much damage to the mob (I rarely ask the healers to bother with my pet, as I feel like a slug to take their attentions away from the tanks). I guess my question is, is there something in the works to alleviate this pressure on DPS pet classes, or am I doomed to be frustrated, feeling like certain zones/encounters (Undercity for one) aren't worth the hassle of trying to maintain my pet, thus nerfing my DPS significantly? Is there an end in sight for my poor pets nightly, repeated slaughter?
