/pet report mana?

Please make it so that when we do /pet report, the mob reports mana percentage in addition to all the other stuff.

Yeah, I'm talking about charmed pets.

A charmed wizzie on full mana will completely obliterate anything you send her against with nukes. OTOH if she's OOM she will resort to melee resulting in next to no damage output and a quick death.

At the moment /pet report returns something like:

[Sun Aug 05 13:41:26 2007] a gnoll sorceror says, 'I have 84 percent of my hit points left.'
[Sun Aug 05 13:41:26 2007] Effects on: a gnoll sorceror000
[Sun Aug 05 13:41:26 2007] Shielding
[Sun Aug 05 13:41:26 2007] Breeze
[Sun Aug 05 13:41:26 2007] Blades of Frost
[Sun Aug 05 13:41:26 2007] Tashan
[Sun Aug 05 13:41:26 2007] Charm

What is would like /pet report to return is something like:

[Sun Aug 05 13:41:26 2007] a gnoll sorceror says, 'I have 84 percent of my hit points and 21 percent of my mana left.'
[Sun Aug 05 13:41:26 2007] Effects on: a gnoll sorceror000
[Sun Aug 05 13:41:26 2007] Shielding
[Sun Aug 05 13:41:26 2007] Breeze
[Sun Aug 05 13:41:26 2007] Blades of Frost
[Sun Aug 05 13:41:26 2007] Tashan
[Sun Aug 05 13:41:26 2007] Charm

Well then that makes sense I suppose. Granted I've never noticed frog sorcs and such run oom. But maybe they just use their 5m nukes.

Oh they definitely do, unless the mechanics are different when they're charmed than when they're not. When I'm soloing with my pally, any time I pull two casters the second one is OOM well before it dies.

This change isn't important, but it does sound nice. If it's simple to do from the coding end, great, I say go for it. If it's not, I'd say there are better things to spend time and effort on.

Also, as a general rule melee mobs make better charm pets than casters.

What if... the charmed mob is an enchanter? Would it charm other mobs, stun, mez, slow, fear, and lock down entire dungeons on an unexpected xp orgy?

I'm fairly sure they'll use those abilities, but they won't use them well =P They're dangerous to groups because in a group you have certain key roles. If your tank or your healer gets locked down, there's trouble. With mobs, though, they don't have any sort of organization to mess up. A mezzed mob is a little less dps taken, but there's no rhyme or reason to which ones get mezzed, and it doesn't really mess up any badass NPC strat.

Plus the chanter mob has shit for HP. And it'll run OOM.

clueless on the charmed mobs department, but was wondering do charmed clerics heal? will any type buff pcs?

Heal yes, I'm unsure about buffing PCs... but I'm guessing not.

=) =) =).

yeah, its fun.

but yeah, they definitely do run OOM, but fyi, about charmed pets, when they break charm, they regain all mana back, probably to keep you from charming them, and letting them waste their mana, then killing the mana-free version. So yeah, if you have a wizzy pet or a cleric pet, just break charm and reapply for full mana. of course, the wrong string of resists=your death, but hey, thats why charming kicks butt.

And no, they do not buff you, but they DO debuff stuff, and they seem to have some amazing resist-checks. Landing malo on stuff that "should" be impossible to malo is very possible with a shaman pet, etc.
