Pet Following

I am not sure if its just my current pet or what (necro pets 1-34) but thay seem to follow me kinda strange its realy kinda hard to explain. One thing i noticed in Shouded Isle was if i had my back aginst the wall the pet would be behind the wall or down the steps on the first floor anywhere but by my side. was just wondering how posable it would be to get the pet following/pathing to be flexable enugh to go on anyside of me front back left right and diagonally, with out going out the door and behind the walls.

Am sorry this is probly a large project if it is posable but i was just wondering if it could be added to the "some day pile"

I havent been back to shrouded in quite some time but back a while ago when I did go there pets would occasionally wipe groups by pulling stuff from other floors etc etc. Usually safest thing to do if you're in an area that may cause a problem like this is to park the pet in camp up by the mt (unless the mt happens to be your puller, then somewhere up by the rest of the melees or if none in front of casters at least). In addition to not only being efficient it helps your pet start doing dmg faster or proc whatever its going to faster on the pull as it doesnt have to run to the mob. Only situation this shouldnt really be done on is when you're moving along w/the group (i.e. like the typical kedge run).

Pets should not attract aggro if you don't have mob's aggro.
You can (as mentioned) always "guard" a spot with your pet.

Most of the pet classes get summon companion spell (BST(39) ENC(44) NEC(44) MAG(39) SHD(52) SHM(44) - a bit past 34 though :sadf: ), which calls pet to your side. Also Recall minion AA works the same, but it's instant.

the pets dont cause agro from wondering around and am not staying at 1 camp am moveing around alot cus am soloing 2nd 3rd floors. and i know when we get summon companion spell (witch am not 44 yet) witch i wouldnt need if the pets acted a lil more like a pet then a doll when standing next to me

yeah but for some reason back in the 20's somehow nobles would end up coming from the mansion top (w/no one other than our group in zone, so no real possiblility of being trained) w/a pet conspicuously absent, though my guess is another mob we were pulling probably went up for a bit (like ive seen them do in outside nonlevel zones quite frequently) and drew aggro from the other mobs.

Really never noticed what Bruttal is talking about much there, but then I'm not a necro and haven't been back to SI since the pathing changes, that might be an oddity produced by them. I'll check it out w/ais later today though.

I wish my pet wouldn't stand in walls, guarding animation doesnt work when it's walled in places like highkeep :(
