Permission request? Maybe rules clarification?

Dalayan Adventurer
One of my guild mates recently suggested a wonderful idea, but I wanted to get some input from a GM, Admin, or someone else that could make sure we are able to do this without breaking rules, and the best way to go about doing this.
As many of you already know, Moontree is a guild that is devoted to helping others, not to raiding. We want to make SoD an even BETTER place to be! There is where my guild mate's idea came from. Many of you already know, I personally give allot of things away, and do my best to give them to newer players. He wanted to take a it a step further, and hold a scavenger hunt. Advertise it in Dalaya's beginners (Just with guild chat), in forums, etc, and take a day to do this. We would of course be careful to advertise it as a Moontree event, and not a server event (as I assume that would be requirement #1)
I just wanted to check on the rules and regulations regarding such things (If any) and most importantly get input from Admin's and GM's about a way we could do this that would be best for all.
I thank you in advance for the input.

I am not sure what u want to do with this 'scavenger hunt'. But i think that as long as you take no more then 18 toons along for anything you kill you should be safe.

I actually did this when I was skilling smithing to give shit away. It's a fun way to gear up true newbs. Make 'em collect non quest low level drop stuff, etc.

Good luck!

I wanted to ask as well, during advertising which we plan to do in the beginners guild, I was wondering if it would be against the rules to post an address to a web page explaining more about the event. As there will be allot of information and it may take up several posts to display it all, it would be easiest to post a brief description and a link. Is this against policy or would this be okay as well?

Thank you all so much for your help in answering my questions. These answers will help Moontree hold a successful event time after time.
