Is it okay to patch eq then. My roomate did and his still works fine, and not the WR patcher i mean EQ, he also did WR after that.

Yes, it is alright to patch to live, if you use WRPatcher after that.

You only need to patch to live once (for the most part), and only to get the patches for expansions. Once you install WR Patcher, and run it, point it to eq folder, then you don't ever need to run the live patcher again (for the most part), you simply run the wr patcher (from desktop icon if you like) everytime you want to log on to eqemu/WR. Also you need to get EqFix and the default UI files for WR (search wr website and forums for guides).

Once you get it all working and are logged on to WR, NEVER run the LivePatcher again. Otherwise you will have to start the process all over again.

If he wants to play live too, he needs to run live patcher. So yes, you can patch to live, and still play WR as long as you run WR patcher afterwards.
