When I attempt to run the patcher it just sits and does nothing.
I followed the instructions on the fix posted for this... I tried to find the files.txt in the EQ SOD install directory in order to delete it. I was unable to find this install directory at all.
Can anyone help me out with this?

I cannot find any file named files.txt
I have since tried the following:
1. Deleted all everquest and sod files
2. Reinstalled everquest and patched all of the expansions
3. I downloaded the sod patches again (zipped them all in the everquest folder)
4. Attempted to run sod patcher and got the same result...it just sits there doin nothin'

I still cannot find any file named files.txt?

Any help with this appreciated.
 
Correct, just put the two files you downloaded from the main site in the same folder as your EQ install. Then open the sodpatcher.exe, the first time you do it will prompt you to locate your EQ directory. After that, and the patcher opens, I suggest clicking Advanced, click the box that says Repatch All, then click Patch And Run. If it still gets stuck, in the same folder as EQ there is a file called "files.txt" ... if you cannot find it click Start -> Search -> Find Files or Folders -> then search for files.txt. After you find it, delete it, then re-open the SoD Patcher, click Advanced again, click Repatch all, then Patch and run. One of those two should fix it.
