Patcher Problems...

ok, here's the problem. I downloaded the patcher and went through the configuration settings. but when i'm about to run it it gives me this message:

A un-expected error has occur.
Please contact Christina Serenity at [email protected]
Please ensure to attach PatchWR.err and add the following
Message to the body of the email:
debugInclude = eql_misc.ew
debugFunc = changeToGZ()

Besides that, Winter's Roar works fine, it's just that i'm missing patches and eventually it will not. Just wondering if this is something easy i can fix or do i have to e-mail this person?

This happens to me occasionally as well. Usually just closing the patcher and reopening it fixes it for me. Not sure what causes this though, but you are not the only one that experiences it.

ic. i've tried it about 10 times in a row and it still doesn't let met patch....
it also seems that my settings don't save. everysingle time i open the patcher again (after the error) the configuration screen pops up again.

However it never downloads the core file.

Anyone know why it's doing this? I keep getting 1017 now because of this, and so is my brother.

I have the same thing, except it doesn't say it's downloading until I click "cancel".

IE:
Attempting to connect to Patch Server...

Downloading Update Core File...
Scanning Files...
Unable to read Core File!

*click cancel*
Core file being downloaded, please wait...
*wait a min... click cancel*
Core file being downloaded, please wait...

etc.

I can still login to wintersroar by running my shortcut for normal eq-emu-ness, by the way.

Someone (wiz ?) must have uploaded something wrong to the server, latest wrfiles can be downloaded manually here.

Still can't login with those files... it's weird just all of a sudden today I run the patcher and it says

Unable to read Core File!"

I havn't been able to login all day...

How can I login without the patcher?

Well, download the wrfiles manually then start WR WITHOUT patcher, make a shortcut to eqgame.exe that looks like this : eqgame.exe patchme and problem solved.
