Patcher Problem

When I try to run te SoD patcher, a problem comes up stating "A required .DLL file, MSCOREE.DLL, was not found. Any ideas on how to fix this? I have all the expansions in, and have loaded the everquest patcher?

Samething happened to me.

download the .net program from microsoft and it will work

you can get it from the windows update if you have win98/ME

Could ya be a little more specific please? There's a bunch of .net programs/add ons available for download at microsoft.com.

its the .net framework basically the core program

Do all the windows updates from IE.. tools updates.. the .net portion is most likely under the windows optional files so you will have to select it.

One thing I discovered is that, for the SoD patcher to begin to work, it is NECESSARY to install Service Pack 1 as well as the DotNet framework.

One thing though ... the patcher hangs up when it reaches the spells_us.txt file ... no amount of prodding will make it go on. I am hoping it's because of the update going on right now. I'm gonna re-try when the server is up and running.

UPDATE: The SoD patcher managed to get the spells_us.txt file on the 8th try ... must have been the updating going on.
