Hey all, I was just recently shown to the SoD site by a friend and was entralled with the possibility of playing what my friends and I have labeled an "upgraded Eq" - I reinstalled and patched old EQ on monday, deleted my maps subfolder, downloaded the SoD patcher and attempted to run it. I started the patcher, and it seemed really slow so I just let it go overnight. When I checked on it tuesday morning it was in the same spot, so I checked the forums and found the stickied "stalled patcher post" - canceled the patch, deleted the "files.txt" file and started the patcher up again. It got to the point where it stalled last time, then after about 30 seconds moved onto the next file, but stalled there (again, overnight). So Wednesday I deleted "files.txt", started it up, and it got to the next file...repeating the trend.
I've reinstalled my .net framework, I've reinstalled and patched EQ again since then, and I've re-downloaded the patcher from SoD twice hoping to fix the issue...but nada. Anyone have any clue why it is stalling out (sometimes multiple times on the same file) for each individual file? I saw in IRC that the servers were down so I thought that that may have had something to do with it (who knows?
) but they are up now, and I'm still stuck canceling, deleting, restarting, etc etc for each and every file I'm patching.
Any clue what could be wrong? I am very out of ideas...and worst case - how big is the patch going to be? So I can plan accordingly if I decide to cancel/delete/restart the patcher for each file.

Edit -> I caved and tried to just download all of the patch files in the zip provided in the files section and no help, its still trying to patch some (all?) files and stalling at each and every one. Tried disabling firewalls and norton, tried the repatch all, tried the browsing for EQ again and patching after that all to no avail.
