patcher issues

hey dudes. I like to play SoD now and again on my laptop for convenience. This morning I was loading it up as always and got a nasty surprise with some patcher problems.

I see this:



the log file says this:

I don't have anything running that could interfere with the patcher connection. I tripled checked all the windows firewall stuff and also tried running as administrator. I additionally went and downloaded the manual patch files and overwrote all the files in my SoD directory and I'm still getting this error. I'm just not savvy enough to solve it myself.

Any help would be appreciated so I can return to playing SoD on the comfort of my couch, please and thank you.

odd, any weird shit if you do a cmd prompt for > tracert www.shardsofdalaya.com?

I ended up just doing a system restore. Fixed whatever the problem was. I immediately did a repatch all and loaded up just fine. If it comes up again for whatever reason I'll post again.
