Patcher getting stuck mostly on UI files, any ideas?

For the past few days I've been trying a variation of the patcher getting stuck fixes. Deleted files.txt, repatch all, etc etc with no luck. It gets stuck mostly on UI files, but it will also get stuck on populating hashtable. Usually when it gets stuck on a file I just cancel and hit patch again, and it goes through. But that hasn't worked at all.

Is my only other option at this point to re-install and fully repatch, or can I avoid that headache if at all possible? Any help would be appreciated.
 
Are you using the default or a custom UI? It might be a compatibility issue if it's a custom UI. Have you tried deleting the files it gets stuck on and repatching all or manually downloading the most recent patch files and putting them in your game folder in place of your current files?
 
Default UI, I haven't deleted the files due to the fact that it's never one in particular, however it tends to be a group of 5-10 that it gets stuck on, so maybe I'll attempt to figure out which ones and delete those.

I have repatched with the downloadable patch files from 11/27/07, I'm assuming those are the newest ones I can get? Unless I'm missing something I don't know where to manually download the most recent ones.

Thank you for the reply, I am having the same troubles. One thing that occurred to me though, is that I vaguely remember a recent windows auto-update to a newer version of one of the libraries that the patcher uses. Could this be a possible cause of this hashtable thing?
(p.s. Just a note, the link to the thread you posted does not work for the new forums (haven't figured out why though), I found it through the sticky in this forum for 11/28/07).

Addendum: Turns out that my internet settings taken from IE did not work because the provider had recently disabled proxies, however firefox seemed to circumvent these settings and did not have a problem. Disabling the proxies fixed this error (but now I have another, that doesn't belong in this thread though).
