patch problem

when i try and patch i get a message saying errors where encounter while patching
these are the only errors i can find in the log

ive tried manual patch but that dident work and if i ignore the error and play anyway it gets to loading and then crashes
 
Can you connect to this site from Internet Explorer? Patcher uses the same configuration as IE to connect, so get IE to work and the patcher will work. Other browsers use different config, so it doesn't matter if they work or not.
 
499 is not a standard http return code. If you have a proxy configured in IE try disabling the proxy configuration. If you are on some type of managed network like at a college campus or workplace, web filtering software might return a custom error like this when it fails to parse the get header. Lots of applications use http these days so it's not very likely that a newer web filter would bomb on http requests coming from something other than a browser, so I doubt it's the second issue.
