Passive stance and Aggressive Stances

could these tomes be changed to only work in the coresponding stances?

ie, if you have passive stances done it only works while in defensive stance and vice versa for aggressive stances.

making it worthwhile for people who have farmed adn done both tomes?

Terrible idea, then when tanking you will get less aggro in a defensive stance. Better idea is not be greedy and let the appropriate classes get the appropriate tomes.

I think he meant the other way around.. since the wording of the aggressive tome and the aggressive stance mean different things.

Aggressive Tome (increased aggro) would be increased aggro in non-aggressive (DPS) stances,
and
Passive Tome (decreased aggro) would be decreased aggro in non-defensive(Tanking) stances

it would be beneficial for duo-ing or when you throw a tank monk onto a raid mob, while not making it permanent and troublesome when with actual tanks.

Kind of liked the idea.

If it were to happen I'd prolly suggest a change of the names of the aggressive tome to avoid confusion.. heck maybe the name should be changed anyway.

meant it the other way around, more agro in defensive and less in aggressive.... didnt think about how i worded till after i posted

Then would be terrible for casters as they only use defensive stance and do not want the additional agro.

Yeah, I see the idea, but I dont like this. Casters always use /s2, does that mean we lose our -agg tome?. What about the meele dps that *wants* to pick up agro? They have to either give up attacks that generate agro, or the agro mod itself. I know some monks like to do aggressive since they can fein, and it lets them grab agro when needed more easily.

I just don't think this idea works out very well in game.

If you want this, just advocate for a /cm or something to turn on or off the aggressive or defensive tomes, that idea I could see getting behind since it wont impact anything else in game.

And even then I hope not, because just having more janky /cm for something like this is awful, too.

This idea is terrible. The ability to have more or less aggro innately is awesome. There is not one class that really has the need for both. Do neither tome if you so desire.
