According to this information, the amount of AC provided is offtrack. A suggestion I have is to add something similar to Aegolism for Paladins, but not quite the strength. A level 65 single-target spell, which incorporates the aspects of Heroism, Shield of Words, and Symbol of Marzin (700 HPs) and requires a Peridot to cast. This would allow Paladins to only hog up one buff slot instead of three in high level groups without a cleric.

The level 65 Paladin spell would not be as powerful as the level 60 cleric spell. The Paladin spell would give 1100 HPs and 170 AC whereas Aegolism gives 1150 HPs and 200 AC.
 
I'm not sure if this idea crosses too far over into Cleric territory, but if the previous idea is not balanced enough, could a combination of any 2 of the previous 3 spells (Heroism, Shield of Words, Symbol of Marzin) be combined into a new spell?

Example:

Heroism + Shield of Words = Heroic Shield (level 65 buff that gives the benefits of Heroism and Shield of Words into a single buff)

never got to use it at all since Shield of words has 100ac vs fortitude's 30 + heroic bond is a better use of mana (i think?)

the buff-spells seem fine to me tho, it might be a better use of gm time to go exp lossing people at random by grief killing them with a jesus npc (rabb-stab)
 
Thanks for the information, Aytowun. I would even be happy seeing Fortitude becoming a level 65 castable Paladin spell. My biggest complaint is the buffs hording 3 buff slots and would like to see it reduced to 2 or 1.

Also, any replies after this please refrain from straying off topic. This is for Paladin Spells as the topic says, not to bring up past hostilities.
 
It's not that easy to go around haphazardly adding spells, and I don't think your scenario really calls for it anyway -- the beastlord doesn't get a combo buff talisman like the shaman, nor should the paladin get a combo buff like Aegolism. And I hate to point this out, but relic aego lasts 4 hours base -- how often are you aegoless?

As an addendum, Fortitude may be the worst spell ever. The only thing useful about it is that it lasts twice as long as heroism, but heroism is a group buff, so it takes all of 600 mana (100 per person) per 72 minutes to cast, whereas Fortitude is 175 per person every 144 minutes. It's less hp and less ac. It's a useless spell.
 
Granted, I could track down a cleric with Aegolism for a buff, but I'd like to be able to not need that dependency just to save some buff slots. The self buffs I use are Divine Might, Ornate BP clicky, Ornate legs clicky, Heroism, Shield of Words, Symbol of Marzin, Yaulp 4, Valor of Enthann, Canopic Jar, Firefist from Nemmy's Headseeker, Greater Resist Magic, and Sihala's Stalwart Shield. If I toss a Heal over time on myself, then I have 13 buff slots occupied. In a group setting, there are so many other beneficial buffs to choose from as well. I'm just asking to free up one buff slot.

Or... make the total number of buffs for a PC set at 20 serverwide :lol:
 
is there a way to give paladins at 60ish+ an upgrade to their haste spell, kinda odd that they only get one at way early lvls and they dont learn how to upgrade it.
