Paladin pet?

I've seen a few paladins walking around with a pet flaming sword.

Does anyone have any more information on it?
 
about that pet, he not a "summoned pet" like the monster summoning ones, but a pet that you can actually make attack/back off/sit/guard ect. but he cannot recieve buffs/pet gear like the other pets. is this a bug or intentional? his HP is pretty weak as is w/o buffs.

since the new pet buff change the pet is sweet, sb emp and you got a hasted pet with all other buffs it lives along time. its an exra free 30-40 dps or so, and yes you can give it weapons but its pointless cause you can't heal it but i just resumon it whenever it dies recast is only like 2 min or less
 
you sure the SB haste transfers to him? b/c /pet report never shows anything and when you buff the group nothing lands on him

yeah when you summon him you see all the spells that hits him and one is the empower msg, got to have sb emp for him to get it though can't cast it on him
