Outdoor spells dropping when zoning indoors

I am not sure if this was intended or not but all outdoor restricted buffs drop when entering an indoor zone. Examples of this would be sow, soeagle, and mask of the hunter.

If indeed it was intended then perhaps could some spells be tagged "indoors" like Mask of the Hunter.

I also especially miss mask of the hunter. It is a great addition for when you don't have a beastlord, and sometimes we don't have one on raids lately, while we still need all mana regen possible.

This is intentional. Make a separate case for mask of the hunter to be indoors, but outdoors spells should really *be* outdoors spells.

By the same logic ..does that mean that spells that help you see better in the dark ..aka ultravision-heat vision...will only work at night now or only in dark places or that EB will drop the instant you get out of the water or leave airless zone (is there any airless zones on SoD?) ...it really doesnt make much sense that a spell casted on you by a caster say in your front yard would drop just becasuse you walked into the front door of your house , but like has been said this is your sandbox ...

Thanks for the hard work

I think it's more that the spells are intended to only affect you outside, not just be casted outside. So if such a spell were casted on you, and you went inside, it would make sense for it to not affect you.

what

Vision spells have never been restricted to "when its dark" but outdoor spells have always been restricted to outdoors. Your logic hurts.

The spell effects have never been restricted to outdoors just the casting of them ..the vision spells may have been a obscure reference but the basic logic of my post is sound

No, it really is not because the casting of the vision effects has never been restricted to "dark places". :psyduck:

As far as I know no other class other than druid has their mana regen affected by the type of zone. In my opinion the balance of the game would not be affected if a druid could cast this spell indoors as well as out.

Perhaps another solution would be:
Make it so that the Form of the Hunter also has a mana regen and see invis components in addition to the benefits it has now. Only castable outdoors of course.

And the Mask would be able to be cast everywhere. Except instead of increasing size by 25% it could decrease size by 25% or not affect the size at all.

What i meant by the Ultravision and those type of spells only being able to be cast at night or in dark enviroments was not that they where like that in the past on here or the Game but as a example of the spell fitting the enviroment scenerio i.e. the outdoor spells only being able to be cast and the effect only last while outdoors. While we are on the subject of these types of spells will the other enviromental specific spell Enduring Breath ( Im sure there are other such spells , but it being 3:15am here i cant think of any ) be changed as well ...or is it only the one line or type of druid spells that will effected.

I would also like to suggest that with the changes in the spells, SOW in particular, that maybe we could add a spell like Spirit of the Shrew from live . While i dont remember the exact specs on the spell it was a slower version of SOW that was castable indoors and also had a nice vision buff with it also ...just a suggestion.

As always thanks to you and yours for all the hard work.

I can see the case for Mask of the Hunter, but most outdoor-only spells should most definitely be removed upon zoning into an indoors zone. Trying to avoid specific game mechanics by pre-buffing outdoors with spells that can't be cast indoors is something that shouldn't be allowed imo.

Is there any way we could 'offset' the outdoor spells while indoors?

Something like 'oh, you have a sow, and zoned inside. fine, now you have XXX which snares you by sow speed'.
This way, when you then leave outdoors, that spell drops similar to how sow does now.

So say, if you have a sow, neck to stormkeep, in SK you run slow, but when you zone out for the run across EW, your sow is still there.

The biggest problem I have is with the spells dropping mid run (Through say blackburrow), etc.
