/ooc chat?

Everytime I try to /ooc it says "ERROR: String not found (8565)"

People say I must agree to some terms, but I have yet to see any terms provided. Can we assume that I'll behave myself and someone tell me the / command to agree? I'd like to talk to ze world and spread the gospel of METZGARD SMASH.

The string not found errors are typically corrupt files but those generally come up before the game launches. I've never heard of someone getting it in the game. Since it is happening in game and it is possible that you have not typed in the agreement statement I would petition in game to see if one of the GMs in there can answer you right away. You will of course also have to type in an agreement statement before you can officially petition as well but it will display it for you when you try. However if you get the string not found error when you petition it could be pointing to a corrupt file. If that is the case, or even just for the heck of it, select Repatch All from the advanced screen in the patcher and it should redownload all of the SoD files when you start patching. This has been a way to correct the problem in the past with "String not found (###)" errors.

I'll try doing a manual repatch later today. I'm running on Linux, so I don't use the standard launcher.
