One way dungeons

In first ruins you can't get back up the cliff unless you die/have porter/gate etc. I've always thought one way dungeons in exp zones were one of the stupidest things. It really screws melee's and hybrids as they're forced to eat a death or bring a porter to get them out. Maybe you could add an npc to tp you up and down, similar to the npc in thurg who tp's you below the bridge so you can get into crystal caverns.
 
There is a way back up after you fall off the cliff. If you enter the bulding and go straight rather than left, it'll lead up back up across the bridge with the ratmen.
 
I remember on this server going inside the building exploring for names, and we bumbled up randomly to the top, but its quite a ways and an awful lot of clearing of mobs. I agree that this punishes melees and its not really alot of fun. I also wish it would be changed, but a death on WR isnt that big a deal anyway. As for when I did it, I was usually bound right outside so id die and then zone back in and rez myself being a paladin.
 
isnt that one of the downsides of being a melee in the first place?

also isnt fr a super high exp mod zone with mobs that are geared towards lvl 20+ ppl

The next lowest lvl zone with that exp mod is stormkeep? then after that you prob need to be 50+ for zones w/ that kind of exp mod. That seems like a minor inconvience for a zone with a 30% exp mod. I for one wouldnt care about dying on wr or live for a higher exp mod compared to similar lvl zones.
 
suck it up! its part of it all, sorry but i dont think a easy out should be provided, this is a "adventure" game so to speak.

there are plenty of cheezy places you can just train the zone over and over, just cuz you want to have a easy way to get out of the best exp bonus zone around, doesnt mean anything should be changed

I think it pushes people away from the zone and doesn't really need to be there. The zone is already difficult enough with many casters and the inability to invis yourself through the zone easily because of the mix of undead and regular type mobs. I don't think one way dungeons add anything to the game, they're just a time sink and an annoyance.
 
there are lots of other zones you can go to. god forbid one or 2 zones are a challenge

i remember when folks liked one ways for the "flavor"
 
Is there any suggestion of request in this post?
The GMs can't change the zones. They could add a translocator somewhere at the most, but that would kinda ruin the idea of it, if you ask me.
 
Well First ruins is used a lot so i dont think there iss something wrong there.
If you do not like it you have the choice to not go there.
