One more question/problem

Alright I've replaced the ui files and rerun the WR patcher yet whenever I try to actually connect the screen goes black for a second or two and then it just closes. I don't get a message about it even trying to connect, it just crashes. I have no idea what the problem could be because I can run it perfectly (except for horrendous load times and crashing in between zones) on my other computer.

Edit: I just learned that I can put in a completely bogus password and it will still black out then crash.
 
As I posted before download the wrfix.zip, just notised, I've named it eqfix.zip, check the 1017 error for dummies thread and you have a link to download it from there, that has all the correct ui files, maybe it's only one that is needed but try it and check if it works.
 
Alright I've run the WRfix and the screen is still blacking out then crashing when I try to connect on this computer. This coupled with the fact that I can't get into the game itself on my other computer is really starting to make me think I've screwed something up seriously. I never ran the EQ patcher on the other one or did any of the stupid things I did on accident here and I can actually connect on that one, I get to the character creation page select my character then hit play now and it goes to the loading page and a couple minutes in I receive a notice saying something about my client crashing and do I want to report this. It's the same error I was getting when I tried to create a character before I downloaded the character creation stuff. Any help would be much appreciated. I know that my problems have nothing to do with needing to download the WRfix though since I have done that. Thankyou in advance.
 
Well, have you tried patching to live and then using WRPatcher (remember to click run, not just close it after "patch")?
If that doesn't work, I would try to copy the other everquest folder (from the other computer) to the computer that has the problems.
 
Thankyou I'm taking that advice right now, the zipper is running and after I transfer it, it should work. Thankyou everyone for being so patient with me.
