Old world facelifting...

Looks like after all these years, SOE has decided to do some facelifting the old world... And they are starting off with Freeport. One would think they would start with Qeynos, since it is their namesake backwards. *shrug*

They're going for the EQII look and feel with the update. While it looks cool and all, it's just not the Freeport that I remember.

imo that was too brief in some areas and didnt show much.

I like how they really expanded freeport to a city which it should be, but come on.. its EQ... you cant do that. It will just make the zones around freeport more dated.


It looks great, but belongs in a new game. DAWNTIDE!!!

Its ironic how live is giving their old zones new looks, and on SoD we just gave all the new wolves and skellies the boot and brought back the old ones.

I really quite like that new look, especially the Arena and the Docks. The extra little boats look really cool...although I would have to try and steal them as soon as I saw em. Shame that freeport is all undead here, we could go see the docks easily but not alolt more...Ah well a killing sight seeing trip^^

Can't really blame them for that. Making a whole new song for a trialer is pretty dumb. Many franchises re-use songs in various trailers and such (legend of zelda comes to mind)

It's actually not even their song. It's called "Riddle of Steel/Riders of Doom" from the Conan the Barbarian soundtrack. And they have consistantly used it for every trailer since ocarina of time for the console line.
