Hey everyone,
It's really a pleasure to have found this place, with what seems like such a great community. I'm a 22 year old recent college graduate from Puerto Rico who hadn't played EQ in 6 or 7 years, back when I was in high school and my characters (a lvl 17ish Human Cleric and a lvl 27ish Barbarian Warrior) were in Povar.
I loved the game then and it was a great deal of fun playing with so many of my friends from school who were in the game as well, although now that I think about it that's probably what led me to stop playing as well. Most of my friends were higher level/in high-end guilds and, while I had always been very adamant about earning everything myself within the game, I eventually succumbed to their gifts. Ironically, when I should've been most excited to venture on with my shiny new Executioner's Axe and full set of Crafted Armor (minus Skull-Shaped Barbute, which I always preferred...funny how you never forget even after all these years) I started to lose interest and eventually stopped playing. I guess when I lost all the pride I had in my character for having earned every single thing, my passion for EQ waned.
So I'm back after more than half a decade, with a renewed love for EQ and a renewed desire to not accept anything from anybody
