Old/New? player coming back... Please read ;D

When I was five or six to about nine years old, I played SOE's classic EQ, but I haven't been on in about five years. I like what I've heard about SoD and thought I'd give it a go. I used to play a halfling druid as my main, and a high elf enchanter for a back-up. I was thinking about trying a Dark Elf Enchanter, but I don't quite remember if that would be a good idea. Any thoughts from the pros?

Whatever you remember from the original game doesn't necessarily apply to SoD. It isn't a clone. http://wiki.shardsofdalaya.com/index.php/Differences_between_SoD is a good link to read through. As for playing a dark elf enchanter, nothing wrong with that at all. Welcome to SoD!
 
Ohh, ok, thanks a lot! Good to know. I'll be very interested to see what SoD is like. One question so that I can find out though: "Locate Ev3rQuest [three replacing e because that was filtered] Executable"... This is my message I receive after hitting Patch and Run on the SoD patcher, what file do I execute here...?

The game's name is filtered out with a reason u know...

also... eqgame.exe
