ok this isnt working

my friends having a timeout problem he ran the winter roar patcher and hit run after live updating and still geting the timeout error it keeps changing his eqhost file and i cant figure out how to get it to stop

I don't understand what you mean by timeout.

Is he getting a timeout from the patcher, trying to login through the login server or trying to log into the server itself?

What happened to me

i had up to LDoN and i patch all the way to GoD and even with the wr patcher it failed to load it would not let me get to the server select screen so i decided to uninstall it all and start fresh but this time i installed up to Planes of Power then patched to live up to Planes of Power if you go further i think it changes more then you want. then WR patcher and im able to play Winters Roar. I hope this helps if it does someone sticky it or make a better how to post.

Well considering I play from full live patch (and then use WR patcher) normally, that isn't really the issue. The way I figure it, maybe they changed something, so that your router or something isn't happy about you playing.
