NPC Merchants (trying again, more details)

First character I made here was a Human Wizard, Kaizoku.

I could not buy anything from any NPC's, but I could sell items.

My friend helped me, said I overpatched. I was indeed overpatched.
So we uninstalled, reinstalled, made sure I patched up to the correct one, made a new character.

THAT character was a High Elf Paladin. And everything worked fine.

However, I didn't want a Paladin. I wanted a Wizard, so I remade one today.

High Elf Wizard. I've getting the same crap as I did with my first Wizard.

Can ANYONE tell me why it's doing this? Is there a fix for it? I'd really like to know as I want a Wizard but it appears it's bugged for me or something. :\
 
Please, someone? -_-; I know I'm a noob here and everything but I'd expect atleast a GM/Admin to help me out or atleast tell me there's not shit I can do about it.
 
At first I thought the faction might be messed up with wizards, but you said you could sell, just not buy. It's likely a UI issue, but I can't really be certain.

Something on your end, though. Reinstall exactly per the instructions is the best I can say at the moment.

Well, it's strange, and I was just coming here to tell you all.

I made a new Wizard, with a different name.

Both my previous Wizards that had this problem were named "Kaizoku"

This new one, that works perfectly is named "Kaiz"

Very strange..
