not enough noob mobs in noob zone mistwoods

I just started playing and I have to say its quite difficult finding mobs to kill in mistwood. I kill one or two outside of valley of erimal at level 6 and then go to the corner and kill the 2 kobolds that spawn there and then i start looking around and usually got attacked by a red bear or two. I then die or make it to the zoneline. zone back out and look for mobs that aren;t red. after ten minutes i go back to the corner and kill the two blue kobolds and wish for mobs that aren't red. Can we please have some more mobs that we can kill? Killing five mobs an hour pretty much sucks.

I'm pretty sure there are more blue mobs than just those kobolds :p I had no troubles there.. aAd if it's so bad, explore.. take a boat to Newport and group with other noobs and kills ome bats/gnolls.

Unfortunately the staff is trying to NOT get everyone into the habit of going to Newport to group. So that's a solution, but not an ideal.

There is more then one kobold camp. I know for a fact there is one with at least 6 kobolds in it that you can pull 2 at a time. Once you are level 10ish I think the entry trash in Shrouded is good or if you are determined you can hit warrens. I solo'd a wizzie to level 35 without ever leaving the Erudin Island.

Not sure what level you are, but the Bandits are good too, over near Erudine, plus they drop items for TWO quests I know of which reward you with MORE experience. And they are a fast respawn time, so you never have to worry about running out of mobs.

I know, lol :D but if you're unable to explore the zone a bit.. Newport might be ideal since EVERYBODY are there.. The experienced players just use some unpopulated zones to be able to exp without disturbance.

I know that i recently made a Bard alt and to get away from all the people, and -10% xp from NNP, i went to Mistwoods. And i got started on the bandits there, they spawn fast, and drop the bags of money and the sashes. I got up to lvl 6 very quickly just from killing them, then went and turned in the items, giving me a reward, coin, and 2 lvls of exp, and this was all done without really trying, while waiting to get my druid out of WBL (when it was down).

Well, thanks for all the replies. I guess I'll try newport. I sat and killed the 2 kobolds over and over and then turned in the totems and dinged 7. Swung by the bandits, they are green. The problem I am trying to point out in my post is that there seems to be a missing set of mobs to hunt. They skip from like level 6 to level 10 and the level 6 mobs are few and far between. I mean I thought it was a noob zone. Shrouded Isle and the warrens both start at level 10 according to wiki so I'd like to be able to get to 10 in the noob zone and if I need to travel to newport to do it then I wish they would just start erudites in newport.

This guy didn't really make that bad of a suggestion. It's very possible that there is a lack of mobs at 6-9 in Mistwoods (I haven't been there in years), and moving to Newport should not be the viable alternative. We'll look into this.

For what it's worth, I recall my guy having very little to kill from 8+, but he did the kobold camps from 6-8. The server had about 50 people max at this time, though.
