Seeing as everyone starts in Newport now no matter what race, i was thinking about a way of reducing /ooc questions.
Alot of common questions seem to be things like:
1) How do i get to X?
2) What is specializaton and how do i use it?
3) What is ZEM / Where is a good ZEM zone for a level X?
4) A Translocator? Whats that?
5) A coach? Whats that? And where?!
Probably a few others.
Anyway, im sure they could all be addressed with one swoop. Maybe in everyone's inventory when you start a new character there could be another book aswell as that book of lore. Something like "WR Starting Guide" or if you wanted it to be something more immersive or whatever, it could be "The Newport Guide to Life" or whatever.
Alternatively there could just be an NPC added somewhere that everyone has to pass. Like that tunnel before the Newport gates. And maybe it could automatically hail new players and give them the infoz. Or maybe it could just be really obvious and have a name that makes new players want to hail it and then it gives them the info. Either by quest dialogues or maybe it could just hand them a rolled up note and say "Read this, it will answer all your questions".
