I went thru the entire FAQ, and searched posts of other individuals having no sound problems.
None of this has helped my situation.
As I said I have windows xp service pack 3, updated Soundmax drivers, sound works in everything else but this game. I have the EQ Anniversary cd's that I purchased.. not pirated. 6 months ago I had installed this game, patched and played EQLive with no problems, the problem seems to originate from SoD. I have Anniversary installed but not patched to live servers, just installed and patched SoD.
Sound=TRUE
In game sound bars are scrolled up, everything is how it should be.
Any other tips at resolving this problem? I'd really like to play SoD for the first time, however, soundless is not exactly the EQ experience I was looking for.
If I left out any information, please let me know.
