No interface on character select

My friend has decided to try and play, but has a little problem.

There's a lack of an interface, and apparently there's not even a mouse to select things.

I've told him to check his AV software and try setting it to XP compatability(He's running Vista), but apparently nothing has worked.

This was after the patcher wouldn't work until he visited shardsofdalaya.com through IE.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Would a simple repatch all fix things?

Seems I have the same issue also...trying to get in the game...exactly the same screen as above...shame was hoping to check out SoD sounds great

This happened to me when I was screwing around adjusting my UI with different mods. Not sure if that is the case here, but try re-loading the default UI.

you might of pressed "F10" which hides the UI and mouse.


Although why you have load a lv0 warrior in that zone probably has nothing to do with pressing F10.

Same issue, cannot "repatch all"

I have the exact same problem, but I am unable to "repatch all" because I am forced to do manual patching. I cannot run the patcher because I am playing on a Mac using Crossover and it has difficulty with the patch program, but not eqw or the game.

Anyway, I will keep looking through the forums, but I hope someone has a solution for me.

EDIT: I used vmware and ran the patcher that way, then copied it back over to my mac. So now I get to the character select and see my characters. Only problem is now...I cannot use my keyboard or mouse at character select (it works until then). I know this is a different problem and have no intention of hijacking the thread. So I will look through the threads so more for my new problem. Cheers!

Sounds like a multi-core issue to me, if your buddy is running a dual or quad core system make sure that he is binding affinity to one proc and it should clear that up for him.
