News at ten: Rogues amazed

I just want to say as a rogue that these additions are amazing. I look forward to doing thievery, in addition to stabbing things in the back. One pertinent question: is there a door that provides the final bridge in skillups for lockpick? I am currently stuck at 238, as is a fellow rogue last I'd heard. The only non-trivial door I know of is the ramp next to the ember lord in sunmines, but it is too high to pick at 238 skill. I am not necessarily asking for the specific door, just if one was implemented.

Agreed, though I am slightly upset that I'm now going to get attacked everytime I get the urge to practice my picklock skill in Newport ;(

Re

These changes sound like a lot of fun! One question: If you are hiding and picking a lock, would that cause guards/citizens to notice you and therefore generate heat?

Train it to about 20, at least 15, and start with the door outside the bard quild in SNP

Edit: Bleh, I misread. Yeah pickpocket isn't a very nice skill, it only levels up if you use it on the "right level range" of mob. For example, if your pickpockt is 50, you can only get skill ups if you pick level 15 mobs (making these numbers up for an example, I don't know exactly). The skill lags behind even if you use it in normal groups, so eventually the mobs you fight will be too tough to gain skill ups anyways.

So, umm...I want to level my pick pocket. Would I have to find suitable mobs around the level it should be at to skill up?

Pretty much garison. It is unfortunate, but at least you don't have to worry about those mobs killing you anymore. well, most of them anyway.

Nope, not until later!

I only have 32 points left at the guild master :( I think I bought my skill to 90, though.

I got my pp from 20 to 90 i na day easily , all i did was run around erudin pp'ing like mad while waiting for masked to repop

I noticed at least one door has been improved to trivial higher than 238 in newport with the revamp. Thank you very much!

Pickpocket improves from all mobs that have stealable things. You do not need to find suitable level mobs.

BTW guys, remember that this goes far beyond Newport. Other cities, farms, etc, also have stealable items at night and NPCs that can be pickpocketed.

Awesome. I'd been keeping my pickpocket purposefully low to act as an emergency taunt to get mobs off healers, it's nice to see that I won't have to go slumming to Blackburrow to raise it up.

OK, not to cause problems, but...

What if I, as a wizard, bind inside a building so I cna gate there at night and steal the stuff?

Ahahha..haha..heh..um... Pay no attention to Aarielly /waves magic Jedi hand...

/whisper to aarielly: do not refer to project alpha in public again, or your gateing rights will be revoked
