Newport Rogue Guild Quests

I have been doing these over the past week or so and have enjoyed them very much! However, I have not been able to find ANY help or information on any of them either on the wiki or here on the forums (used search and all that good stuff...Maybe I'm just blind =P) Well, I would like to know if there is such a place/thread/site that shows information on it. If, however, there is not, I would be happy to write what I know for the first few to help others. I am currently on the Knife's test quest and was looking for information such as the level of Pick Lock one must have to pick the lock that leads to the guy we need to kill as well as what level or how hard that guy we need to kill is. Again, if it is out there, I'd like to see it =) If not, I'll create a new quest page on the wiki.

PS I love the different things you can do in the rogue guild. Pick locks to get some interesting newbie items, pick pockets and bring back the loot for some money, as well as the main quest for the head piece. I can't wait to see what the other master wants me to do once I become a Knife =) Great work on the whole Rogue guild in Newport.

The old wiki had all the information on the newport rogue quests. But I believe that is gone now and there is no way to get to it. Hopefully, one of the rogues you has done them all will do a write up at some point.

I looked at it one day for fun, and I can remember a bit about the last quest. You end up having to go kill a iksar brother in grobb. But its a three pull so you'll need some help. believe he is somewhere around 50 as well. When you finish that part of the quest it bumps your +4 backstab skill on your hood to +10 I believe.
Again, thats what I think I remember from reading it once about a month ago. It sounds like a very fun series of quests though. GL

Absolutely LOVE that quest! My rogue is part way through now and I love doing it. Wish every class had a quest along these lines with 5+ steps and upgraded items that fit the level you are in. Like have Wiz class get gloves that have dam inc 1 on them and work up to 5 or so that is doable at 10, 20, 30, 40,50. With fitting stats of course. This has got to be one of the best quests in the game!

Well, I figured out what I had to do =) Seems like the lock that you have to pick needs skill of a bit over 100 (master) while the guy you have to kill is very low. Loving these quests! =)

How do you get your lock pick over 100 without cheating and going to the trainer? Because I can only find doors that take me up to 85 in newport.

Information here may be dated, but some doors listed that are in newport (and you could always venture out of newport as well).

Yeah it was just weird because I was there for about 20 minutes at some of those locked doors without gaining a skill point or failing, maybe I just had a bad run. I guess I'll try again later, thanks for the link

I know the fealing, sometimes skillups come in bulk and at times feel like you couldnt buy one.

If I remember correctly, after I hit 85 in newport I found some locked doors at night in thurgadin that I was able to open and get my skill to 105 before daybreak. I was then able to open the knife door and get skill ups on it, not sure how high it will take me though.
